Should you pass away before the end of your contract, the accumulated value of the annuity, including interest, will be passed to your beneficiary without any charges or fees.

At the end of the contract term, you'll be able to withdraw the money invested, reinvest it in another fixed annuity, or turn it into guaranteed income via annuitization. You have 31 days from maturity date to make a selection. If you do nothing, contract will be renewed for another period of the same term with the rate effective at the time. Any withdrawals made before you turn 59 1/2 (other than rollovers to an IRA) will be charged a 10% penalty by the IRS.

Guardian's immediate annuity is called "The Guardian Guaranteed Income Annuity III." It is available at premium levels of $10,000 or more with income starting 1 to 12 months from purchase. It can be purchased as single or joint life with or without the Refund at Death, Period Certain, or Inflation Adjustment options. Guardian also has a longevity annuity called “The Guardian SecureFuture Income Annuity.” Their annuities are priced to provide the same income payout rates regardless of premium level.

Maximum issue age is 85 if Period Certain or Refund at Death not chosen.

Income can start 2 to 40 years from purchase. It can be purchased as single or joint life with or without the Refund at Death, Period Certain, or Inflation Adjustment options and is QLAC-compliant. Guardian also has an immediate annuity called “The Guardian Guaranteed Income Annuity III.” Their annuities are priced to provide the same income payout rates regardless of premium level.

Maximum issue age is 75 if Period Certain or Refund at Death not chosen.
